Cedar City Youth Council Gains Global Awareness

Water District Considers Evaluation of Malfunctioning Well

The Central Iron County Water Conservancy District Board of Directors considered a request from District Engineer Rod Mills, during its May 1 meeting, to appropriate district money for the evaluation of problems with its second Derby well.
The Derby No. 2 well was the second well dug in the construction of the district’s Phase I water pipeline project. (read article)
PHS Band Attends State Festival

Enoch City Establishes New Youth Council

Enoch’s new youth council was introduced and sworn into office during the City Council’s May 7 meeting.
Councilor Celesta Lyman said the council is thrilled with the opportunity to have a youth council in Enoch. She said when applications went out, they had several applications, and selected nine youth to sit on the council. Youth council members will be involved in volunteer activities and learning about leadership and local government. (read article)
